What We Do...

The main purpose of A Blind Journey is to provide support, encouragement, and assistance to families of children with special needs. Our goal is to support families by helping them find all of the resources available to them. To encourage families to advocate for their children and to pursue every resource available. To encourage families and let them know they are not alone, and that their hard work will benefit their children. To do so we will raise money for various causes including but not limited to costs to run A Blind Journey, therapies not covered by insurance, conferences and conventions, and other opportunities for the growth of families and development of children with special needs. We will also continue to advocate and raise awareness for children with special needs, especially those with rare disorders, and those whom are severely affected by various diagnoses.

We are currently working on raising money to help kids receive intensive physical therapy. We've seen firsthand the amazing benefits of this therapy as we are lucky to have the ONLY insurance that currently covers this. Read more in our post about Jonathan, the first kid we are helping.

I am a WAHM, trying to navigate the beginnings of running a non-profit, as well as providing support to families as the SOD/ONH Division Consultant for the MAGIC Foundation.
